Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe – With & Without egg

Who are all waiting for the mayonnaise recipe? Personally, I love mayonnaise but I’m a little worried to buy them from the stores because of the additives and chemicals used to preserve it. And thus I’ve decided to make my own mayonnaise at home without adding any chemicals or preservatives. You can prepare this homemade mayonnaise with or without the egg and the vinegar. Let’s get into the recipe. Keep reading!

Homemade Mayonnaise recipe:

I’m going to share 3 kinds of recipe to make mayonnaise at home.

  1. Mayonnaise recipe without egg.
  2. Mayonnaise recipe with egg.
  3. Garlic Mayonnaise.

 

Also, some of you were expecting a homemade mayonnaise recipe without the vinegar. Instead of the vinegar, you can go for the lemon juice (in the following recipes) but you’ve to alter the content of the lemon juice to get the perfect taste.

Mayonnaise recipe without egg:

If you’re a vegetarian, no worries. You can make the perfect mayonnaise even without the egg.

Ingredients:

  • Milk cream – 1 cup (You can find the milk cream recipe here)
  • Lemon juice or vinegar – 4 teaspoons
  • Oil – 2 cups
  • Powdered salt – 1/2 teaspoon (or add as required)
  • Powdered sugar – 2 teaspoons

Instructions:

  • Add the milk cream in the electric hand mixer and pour a little amount of oil to it and start whisking. You can also use a blender to do it.
  • After 2 minutes of whisking add the lemon juice, powdered salt and sugar and little amount of oil and whisk again.
  • Now again add the oil little by little then whisk again for a minute and then repeat.
  • Do this until you get the desired mayonnaise consistency.

Once it reaches the consistency, your homemade eggless mayonnaise is ready to go with your fries!!!

Mayonnaise recipe with egg:

Ingredients:

  • Egg yolk – 2
  • Lemon juice or vinegar – 4 teaspoon
  • Oil – 1 cup
  • Mustard powder – 1 teaspoon (Just grind the mustard seeds)
  • Powdered salt – 1/2 teaspoon (or add as required)

Instructions:

  • Add the egg in the blender or electric hand mixer and whisk for few seconds.
  • Then add the mustard powder to it then whisk again for a second.
  • Now add the oil little by little and whisk for a minute.
  • And then now you’ve to add the lemon juice or vinegar, mustard powder and salt to taste.
  • Add the oil to it and whisk for a few seconds. Repeat this process till you you get the desired consistency.

Now your homemade mayonnaise dip is ready.

Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe - With & Without egg

Garlic Mayonnaise recipe:

I’m a huge fan of garlic mayonnaise. This recipe is similar to the regular mayonnaise recipe. Just add 2 teaspoons of garlic powder in any one of the above recipes while adding the salt in the process.

That’s it. Your garlic mayonnaise is ready to go with your evening snack!

Storage:

You can store your mayonnaise in the refrigerator and can use them up to a week! Try to store the mayonnaise in the glass jars.

You can add this mayo in the sandwich, burger, wraps or you can even have a mayo dip with your homemade french fries!
